BTW – if I could [...]]]> Well – we are about 99.999% of the way there. I am actually waiting for the last copy to arrive in my mail box for final proofing. As soon as I make any last minute final tweaks I will be shipping it out to everyone who has already pre-ordered.

BTW – if I could give everyone who pre-ordered a great big hug – I would! It really meant a lot to see the orders come in as I was still putting in late hours in front of the computer and dreaming about the magazine every night. (who says I am still not doing that?!!)

In other news, I have presented a challenge for VOL 2:

What inspires you? Who inspires you? HOW do you get inspired?!!!! Write about all or anyone of those things and email us at submissions@absorbfineart.com with the subject “Inspiration VOL 2″. You can get published in the 2nd issue!!! Seriously!

Some of you might wonder why I am not featured in the 1st issue. Truth be told, I wanted to be. The reality was that I was getting so many submissions for VOL 1 that the magazine got longer and longer. To keep it at a reasonable price, I needed to cut off the submissions but, I still had a lot of art to fit in. To remedy the dilemma, I decided that VOL 2 will feature some of my art. I would also like to allow the reader to ask me questions about anything… my art, the magazine, my life…….. send your inquiries to editor@absorbfineart, and if it is a good question I may answer it in VOL 2!

A special thank you goes to my husband, Dan Press, for encouraging and supporting me through this wonderful artistic time in my life. Thank you to all the artists in this first issue who trusted me with representing their work in the best possible light. Thank you to the future artists and supporters of ABSORB, we need everyone to help keep art and art awareness alive and in everyone’s life.

I will be in layout mode for about another 5 days. If you are an artist [...]]]> The 1st issue of ABSORB Fine Art Magazine is coming along quite nicely!! I have a bunch of different arts/artists involved and can’t wait to share….
We have a poems, stories, photographs of Miami, photographs of dancers, painters, fashion…and more.

I will be in layout mode for about another 5 days. If you are an artist who has submitted work, keep an eye out on your email, I will be sending you proofs of your page/s and will need a quick response.

You may notice a change to the site. The design of the magazine and site have been evolving since the start. The site currently reflects the energy and creativity I hope to convey through the magazine. If you have any comments or criticism I would love to hear it.
